Will food be provided at the event?
Breakfast, coffee and snacks will be provided at the Alaska School Safety & Well-Being Summit through the generous support of our event sponsors. We are grateful for their contribution in helping ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all attendees! What is the cost for attendance of this event?

Is the Summit providing travel grants?
We are hoping to provide each district with a small travel grant in GMS to help cover costs again this year. District teams, you may include a maximum of 6 Superintendent-approved team members; AASB, Alternative School, and school grantees will not be included in that total. Alternative schools may include a maximum of 4 Principal-approved team members. More information to come soon – stay tuned!

Where is the Summit located?
The FY 26 Summit is located at the Egan Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
I am coming in from out of town. Where should I stay?
The Alaska School Safety & Well-Being Summit is currently offering courtesy rates with the hotels listed below for the dates of September 6 – 14, 2025. To book, please call and mention the conference. Note that room reservations can only be made upon a space available basis at each hotel.

Where can I park?
The Egan Civic Convention Center is located at 555 W 5th Ave in the heart of downtown Anchorage with walkable paid parking available within a two-block radius. Popular parking locations include:

No, sessions are neither recorded or live streamed at the Alaska School Safety & Well-Being Summit.

What is there to do in Anchorage outside the summit?
Anchorage is full of fun and exciting activities. Downtown has several local artistry galleries, coffee shops, dining, breweries and more. Additionally, you can take in breathtaking views while walking along the Tony Knowles Costal Trail, or get a taste of the city with an Anchorage Trolly Tour.
